Been a while since I've posted. No real excuse other than busy, but who isn't?
Attended graduation at Fort High last Sunday. You can see some video from the ceremony on our oldest son's (a Fort High 2009 graduate) YouTube site. He's playing the drums in the musical numbers. We're very proud of him and his classmates. And many thanks to Jeff Zaspel, his staff, and all the teachers and coaches. We're all so fortunate to have you here.
I ran in the annual "Run Fort the Health of It" 5-mile run last Friday evening. Annual except for last year it was cancelled because of the flood. Took the silver medal in my age group and 3rd place overall for the over-18 group. Now I suppose I should tell you that there were only 2 runners in my age group and 3 in the over-18 group. Nevertheless, I graciously accepted the awards and they now add some panache to the shelf behind my desk. Next year I'll be helping promote the event to see if we can get a few more runners to join in. You can find all the information you ever wanted to know about running in Fort Atkinson at RunFort.org. Let's run!
I don't plan to make this a habit, but Pastor Bill's message to the graduates of Trinity Lutheran Church last Sunday was quite moving. I had retrieved a few tissues for my wife before the service started knowing that she would need them. Turned out I needed one myself.
