Springtime in Fort

The rain and sunshine of late are starting to work their magic and Fort is becoming greener every day. Last evening we attended a birthday party for a close friend. As the adults stood around and talked, I kept glancing over at the kids running around, playing baseball and football, and just having a grand time in there own little backyard world. I thought about how I could join them, like a few of the more athletic adults had. But I looked around at the people I was with and thought how fortunate I am to be included in this wonderful group of Fort folks. I'll just stay here.

My wife asked me to go with her to the Fort Atkinson High School Theatre's performence of The Skin of Our Teeth this weekend. And we'll have plenty to keep us busy with a small bathroom renovation project. For Mother's Day Sunday we have reservations at The Fireside. The Mary Hoard Art Show is still open at the Hoard Museum. And the Fort Farmers Market opens today. That's a sure sign of springtime in Fort.
